Chart: athletic performance across the lifespan by age

Protect your Performance™

According to numerous studies, athletic performance in adulthood declines relatively linearly, with specific thresholds and phases of noticeable acceleration. Athletic Longevity aims to slow down this process.

Vitamin C

Glucosamine is a natural component of cartilage tissue and plays a central role in the structure, elasticity, and resilience of joints. It supports the nourishment and regeneration of cartilage and is particularly used during periods of high physical stress to support mobility and joint function in the long term.

Chondroitin sulfate is also a natural component of cartilage, connective tissue, and synovial fluid, and helps to maintain the elasticity and shock absorption of the joints. It supports the cartilage's ability to retain water – an important factor for suppleness, resilience, and low-friction movements in the joint.

Vitamin E, zinc, and selenium help protect cells from oxidative stress – in other words, from damage caused by free radicals, which can be produced in greater quantities particularly during intensive training and high physical exertion. While vitamin E acts as an antioxidant protecting cell membranes, zinc and selenium support important endogenous antioxidant enzyme systems and thus contribute to the regeneration and protection of tissue and joint structures. Vitamin E is usually obtained from vegetable oils, zinc from mineral sources, and selenium often from yeast cultures or mineral compounds.

Vitamin C plays a central role in the development and maintenance of the musculoskeletal system, as it is involved in the body's own collagen synthesis. Collagen is the most important structural protein in the human body and an essential component of cartilage, bones, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue. For the formation of stable collagen fibers, vitamin C is required as a cofactor for certain enzymes that cross-link and strengthen collagen molecules. At the same time, vitamin C, through its antioxidant properties, helps protect cells from oxidative stress, which can particularly arise during intense physical exertion.

Athletic Longevity by Evage™

For endurance, agility, focus, and strength

Developed by athletes for athletes: Evage's scientifically-backed formulations are specifically designed to support endurance, mental focus, agility, and cellular health – the foundation for long-term athletic performance and healthy aging.

What does "Athletic Longevity" actually mean?

Athletic Longevity describes the goal of maintaining athletic performance, energy, focus, agility, and regeneration for as long as possible – not just living longer, but staying capable for longer. The focus is on the "Performance Span": the years in which you can perform physically and mentally actively.

Studies show that athletic performance declines relatively linearly after an individual's peak – usually from the age of 30, depending on the sport. However, this decline can be significantly slowed down through training, regeneration, nutrition, and targeted supplementation.

Which supplements are useful for healthy joints?

A sensible approach is a combination that covers cartilage/tissue and cell protection – especially if you exercise regularly or walk/stand a lot. Evage Flex combines glucosamine + chondroitin with vitamins C/E as well as zinc & selenium – as an everyday joint support for active people.

What are glucosamine-chondroitin capsules helpful for in sports?

Glucosamine and chondroitin are considered classic "joint building blocks" when joints are heavily stressed by stop-and-go, jumps, changes of direction, or many meters of running. Evage Flex uses them as a routine companion – not as a short-term "kick," but for continuous joint support in everyday sports.

Why is vitamin C important for collagen formation in joints?

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation – and thus to the normal function of cartilage and bones. This is particularly relevant when joints are regularly "put to work": when running, playing team sports, in the gym, or on trails. Good to know: On top of that, Vitamin C contributes to a normal function of the immune system during and after intense physical activity – from 200 mg of Vitamin C. Evage Flex contains 200 mg of Vitamin C.

How do Vitamin C & Vitamin E support each other as a team?

In short: Both contribute to protecting cells from oxidative stress – and vitamin C additionally supplements this through collagen formation (cartilage/bones). Teamwork without drama – that’s how we like it in sports.

Why is zinc such a good match for Evage Flex?

Zinc

contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress
contributes to normal protein synthesis
contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism

Especially during intense training, cell protection is a useful "basic building block" in the overall setup.

When and how should you take a joint supplement?

Ideally, take it daily with a meal so it truly becomes a routine. For joint issues, the general rule is to test it consistently over several weeks (e.g., 8–12 weeks) rather than just sporadically. Evage Flex is intended as a long-term routine – not as an acute "for tomorrow" solution.

Why do I have joint pain after exercise and what can I do about it?

Frequent causes include overload, too rapid increase in volume, lack of regeneration, technique/footwear, or one-sided strain. Helpful measures are: managing load, mobility/prehab, strengthening around the joint, and good regeneration. Evage Flex can be a sensible supplementary nutrient routine for active adults who want to support their joints and cartilage in their daily sports activities.

Do Evage products contain banned substances or doping agents?

Evage relies on doping-safe active ingredients and develops its products specifically for active people and athletes. Our formulations are based on:

Vitamins
Minerals
Amino acids
Plant extracts
Scientifically tested branded raw materials

No hidden stimulants. No questionable "boosters." No hardcore pre-workout approach.

However, we cannot be held liable if possible contaminations lead to positive doping samples. Athletes are responsible for themselves.

Where does Evage produce?

Evage produces exclusively in Germany and Switzerland. Our raw materials originate – depending on the active ingredient – from various regions worldwide. What is crucial for us:
